Disk-Image is a hard disk drive imaging solution that aims computer repair centres as well as refurbishment centres, where important data has to be backed up prior to any further operation. It is an open source, Linux based tool that provides a set of disk imaging functionalities, to allow faster backup and repair procedures.
With Disk-Image technicians can select and perform a number of operations directly from the web powered dashboard. These operations include: backup creation, restoration and mounting. In order to create or restore a backup, the target hard disk drive has to be connected to an imaging node.
Our tool aims to aid busy technicians who do not have time to manually go through all backups and select which can be deleted. This is why Disk-Image provides a configurable backup deletion rules, based on a number of days from the moment when repair or refurbishment is completed. Technicians can also mark backups as permanent to exclude them from an automated cleanup jobs.
Our dashboard include a number of charts updated in real time to allow technicians to monitor state of each imaging node and make the most out of the available hardware. In addition every backup and restoration job provides an overall progress update together with a detailed information about hard disk drives such as partition sizes and file systems
